The sculptures shown in Galería Marie-Louise Ferrari are an attempt at growing accustomed to the volcanic stone typical for Xalapa. Each of them is made in stone of different structure. Some of them are monolithic, others are porous. The series of six works was carried out during the three month stay in Jardín de la Esculturas in Xalapa and refers to the sculpture "La Junta" realized in 2003 which constitutes a part of a permanent collection of the Institute of Education and Culture of Veracruz State (IVEC). |
